Myra Eleanor Jones 2121116, a waitress at HQ Bomber Command, died of injuries sustained in a road accident in Maesteg hospital

UPGRADE to Myra Eleanor Jones 2121116 , at home on leave from August 16th . She went on a tandem ride with her brother Roy to Laleston the following morning. Whilst passing over a small bridge on the old road near Nantyffyllon, they pulled over to let a lorry pass and hit a lamppost with the rear handlebars. Roy suffered a head injury requiring 12 stitches but Myra suffered brain lacerations and a fractured skull and died in Maesteg hospital without regaining consciousness
