Both airmen rest in the Malta ( Capuccini) Naval Cemetery, Malta.

HOBHOUSE, Hilary Nora - Cpl - 2149967 - the Taunton Courier of September 14th 1946 recorded the following:

DIED ON ACTIVE SERVICE
Sympathy has been expressed with Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Hobhouse, of Howleigh House, Blagdon Hill, whose daughter, Miss Hilary Nora Hobhouse, W.A.A.F., died of infantile paralysis [polio] at Tel-el-Kebir, Egypt, on September 3rd. She was 21 years of age. The funeral was at Tel-el-Kebir.

Not sure at this time if the Squadron Code"YH" was still in use but a/c in sqdn letter I have as "U".
Still looking for crew names.

Kathleen Winifred Joyce Thurlow 2148530 , a wireless operator attached to RAF Bletchley, was admitted dangerously ill to the Lister EMS hospital, Hitchin on 22 June suffering with leucocythaemia. Discharged to home at Rosedale Fountains Crescent, Southgate N14 , she died of acute lukaemia with her mother, Mrs W H O Thurlow, present

Maldwyn John 961584 , described as a disabled RAF pensioner, died at 115 Pencoed Road, Burry Port of Disseminated Sclerosis.

As a medically discharged Airman there was no record of his death and this information was obtained via the purchase of GRO death certificate by myself
