BROWN, Vivian William - LAC - 1424708 - the National Probate Calendar confirms that he died at R.A.F. Station Fuhlsbuttel.

HAYES, P. D. - AC1c - 1879965 - the National Probate Calendar confirms his full name as Philip Derek Hayes, and records that he died at No. 94 British Military Hospital, Hamburg.

Vivian William Brown 1424708, attached to RAF Fuhlsbuttel, collapsed at the station and was admitted to Number 94 General hospital where he was found to be dead on arrival.. There was No cause of his death in his records, nor in the war diaries for Number 94 hospital. A GRO overseas death certificate was purchased by myself and his cause of death was heart faliure secondary to coronary atheroma.

Brown is the last Airmen resting in Germany to be accounted for although I have identified 3 POW Airmen who are poorly accounted

Philip Derek Hayes 1879965 , suffered a Ruptured spleen in a MT accident near Luneburg on 31 August. He was admitted dangerously ill to Number 94 British General hospital on 1 September where he died of his injuries
