What caused the death of and/or what was the place of death registration for:

Sgt (Pilot) Basil R. COOKE - 580014 - killed on active service.

Proposed aircraft loss:
Anson I - N4939 - 1 AONS - flew into high ground 1 mile N of Goat Fell, Arran.

Cookes death registered at Brodick on Isle of Arrran so looks very very likely!

Hi Henk
Following DaveW's list they are all on CWGC.Pratt ,19, and Pearson are noted as trainee Observers, McKenzie and Neill are Civilians with McKenzie being a Nav Instructor(killed nr Goat Fell,Arran) and Neill a Civilian Radio Officer(killed in crash nr Goat Fell).
