What caused the death of and/or what were the places of death registration for:

P/O (Pilot) Paul R. ANDERSON - 85219 - RAF (from USA) - 71 Sqn - Kirton-in-Lindsey, Lincolnshire - killed on active service;
AC1 George F. LAVER - 913861 - not found Flight archives;
AC2 Reuben F. MERCER - 1085349 - not found Flight archives;
AC2 Max RADSTONE - 1375114 - killed on active service;
AC2 Joseph RAPER (Flight: RAFER) - 1214117 - killed on active service, and
P/O Robert B. REDFERN - 83453 - killed on active service.

Proposed aircraft losses:

Battle I - L5380 - 38 MU - crashed in forced landing near Llandow.
Defiant I - N3478 - 264 Sqn - collided with Defiant N 3332 on night patrol and crashed (no further details).

Hi Henk
Anderson,27, Radstone,31, and Redfern,26, are all registered at Westminster, Central London, the area for Government departments, Parliament etc. Mercer,33, is registered at Cranbrook in Kent.

Anderson was killed whilst on leave, and was visiting the Cafe de Paris in London when a bomb hit it. The others maybe casualties of the same incident

Mercer, registered Cranbrook, DOAS in Flight mag 24th April.

Laver, In 2nd Qtr 1941, there is a 22 yr old George F Laver in Oxford district. DOAS

Raper, is RAFER on CWGC, age 30, also registered in Westminister. KOAS

So Anderson, Radstone, Redfern and Rafer likely all in same incident.

Reuben Frank Mercer 1085349 , attached to Number 3 Recruits Centre , died in Cranbrook Isolation hospital , Kent , of pneumonia secondary to diptheria

George Francis Laver 913861 , attached to 13 OTU, was killed in a motor cycle accident
