What caused the death of and/or what were the places of death registration for:
AC2 William E. CHALMERS - 1260576 - killed on active service;
AC2 Albert R. DOWNES - 1311292 - killed on active service;
AC1 George E. PURVIS - 1264334 - killed on active service, and
AC2 John W. TAYLOR - 1021337 - 1 BC, 902 (Balloon) Sqn, Kidbrooke/London - killed on active service (may have been killed in air raid).
Proposed aircraft loss for this day:
Magister I - P2432 - 15 EFTS - crashed in forced landing 2 miles NNW of Annan, Dumfries.

AC2 Albert R. DOWNES - aged 20 death registered at Edmonton, Middlesex.
AC1 George E. PURVIS - aged 36 death registered at Greenwich, London.
John W. TAYLOR - 1021337 - aged 37 death registered at Greenwich, London.

AC2 William E. CHALMERS - 1260576 - the Dundee Courier of March 18th 1941 reported the following:
KIRKCALDY AIRMAN KILLED
Mrs. Chalmers, 40 Cowan Street, Kirkcaldy, has received word that her son William Chalmers (30), has been killed in a recent air raid in the Soiuth of England.
He joined the R.A.F. in September last. Before that he was a commercial traveller with Messrs. Michael Nairn & Co., linoleum manufacturers, Kirkcaldy. After having served with the firm for 11 years he was transferred to the South. His wife, who received injuries, is on hospital making satisfactory progress.
AC2 Albert R. DOWNES - 1311292 - the National Probate Calendar records that he died at Green Lanes, Southgate, Middlesex.
