Peter J H Rowe 626639 died in RAF General hospital, Littleport of a subdural abscess and a nasal sinus infection

His unit on grave registration form on CWGC is 5 ITW which at the time was at Hastings.

Death registered in Luton, surname spelled slightly differently: Cockcroft James A 23 Luton 3b 1339

Grave stone from findagrave reads:
n Loving Memory Of Sergt. Pilot. J.A.Cockroft Royal Air Force Who Died Jan. 7th. 1940, Aged 22 Years.

Also The Mother Of The Above Mary Jane Cockroft, Who Died May 4th. 1948, Aged 73 Years. Peace Perfect Peace

Probate calender also has a James Alphonso Cockroft died 7th Jan 1940, 2 Applecroft Road, Stopsley, Luton

Differences in middle name and date of death between records and CWGC.

James Alfred Cockroft ( COCKCROFT in his records ) 745779 , attached to Number 5 ITW, committed suicide by coal gas poisoning at 2 Applecroft Road, Stopsley, Luton
