I have been going through some of the books by German Historian, Ralf Blank. In my opinion, these are very important contributions to the history of the airwar over the Ruhr that I have seen. Some very well researched history of the effects of the bombing and the political events and the police state on the ground. Some great photos of the damage to some of the Ruhr towns, particularly the synthetic oil plants. I really hope that he goes through with editions of these books in English.

The books are

Never heard about these books to be honest. Are you sure that there is no translation into English of these books? I have a friend who is living in his Berlin property and I will try to ask him if there any information about translation. I would be really interested to read to be honest.
