Hello,

The New Zealand airman, was; NZ2524* S/L David Malyon (not Malton) ALLAN RNZAF - see: FYT1/Martyn/76*, FYT2/Martyn/427(Amendment) & FYT3/Martyn/61 (Biography).

* Allan, who served with The RNAS and RAF in the First World War, was a much revered figure in New Zealand aviation throughout the 1930s, as a flying instructor and display pilot. Attendance at his funeral on the 14th included some 400 members of the RNZAF. At the time of his death service numbers had not yet been assigned to officers of the RNZAF. NZ2524 was a posthumous allocation made at war's end.

Col.

Thanks Col re : Allan, my tablet is always changing what I have typed . When I have completed the post days before posting it is correct, but somehow changes when I post. This happens often and if not spotted , like now , it becomes too late to edit.
