Henk,
Confirm 'Northants' is a shortened form of Northamptonshire. Ditto 'Notts' for Nottinghamshire.
By the time you have finished this investigation you will know more about the geography, local customs and names, of the UK than almost all of those of us who live here!!!!!!!!
Take care, Rgds, from a very damp UK

Frankish was the sole occupant of N7712 and crashed at Wollerton due to faulty instrument flying.

LAC G C Jobling was the occupant of T8843. He was uninjured but KIA with 150 Squadron on 21st February 1942.

Cheers, Tom

Hello

LAC (Pilot u/t) James A.B. DAY - 961285 - the Graves Registration Report Form confirms him with 9 F.T.S., so that would put him in T8468 with Noddings.

LAC Henry W. HAYMAN - 228052 - th National Probate Calendar records that he died at The Strand, Southsea.

P/O Norman J. LOCKYER - 61292 - the Western Daily Press of April 24th 1941 reported the following:

Pilot Officer Dies From Injuries
As the result of their car crashing into the kerb and overturning at the foot of the Rhodygate, Congresbury, two airmen on leave were admitted to Weston-super-Mare Hospital in such a critical condition that one of them - Pilot Officer Norman Lockyer (19) - died shortly after admission.
His companion - Sergeant Pilot G. B. Foden (22) of The Beeches, Fosse Road, Syton, near Leicester - was suffering from severe head injuries and last night his conditon was still critical.

AC (Pilot u/t) Milward P. ROGERS - the Graves Registration Report Form confirms him with 6 F.T.S., which ties him to Anson I N9643

Regards

Simon
