Hi Henk

Marloth and Meeson died as a result of the bombing of Linton on Ouse. AC2 Arthur Dale 1206638 died of his injuries on 15/5/41. It was the resultant fire that cost Garraway his life.

Cheers

Eddie

Two of your list appear in the 53 OTU ORB, as there were two killed in the same accident I would suggest a Master or similar.

May 12th 1941, “Pupil Sergeants A.E. Couper and S.R. Skerritt killed in flying accident.”

Another casualty was in the No.3 School of General Reconnaissance ORB.

May 12th 1941, “Fatal accident to airman at his billets AC1 Draper W.L.”

Hi Henk,

"Cpl Richard O. LENHAM - 514334 - commemorated on Panel 55 of the Runnymede Memorial - looking for his unit at date of death."

According the usual micro-fiche, I can see Lenham did belong to "SHQ Pembroke Dock" when he died.

Hi Henk
Pembroke Dock was a heavily used Seaplane and Flying Boat Base covering the Irish Sea, W Atlantic , Bay of Biscay etc. Lenham's name did not come up on the registration list so he was possibly lost at sea. If he died in the area he would be registered at Pembroke as 3 others on your list were.

ROSS

Henk.

Hello
I wonder if you can assist me - it would appear that Walter L Draper was my paternal grandfather. He was never mentioned in our family and he died when my father was only 5 years old. My dad passed away 14 years ago and I am trying to garner some information relating to his dad for a family tree. Apparently Walter, known as les was always with Arthur Deeley who was married to my grandmothers sister. Could you direct me to sources where I can find out more about my grandfather and the circumstances surrounding his death?
Thank you

Hello 'Flower',

Welcome to the board and all our rules.

has anyone contacted you by PM with assistance. By the sounds of what is given above you are best to contact the RAF to try to obtain his service files and also to obtain a copy of death certificate.

Also, Macolm and those who replied above might have copies of the documents their messages are based on.

Dennis
