Jon you quote 29/8/1938 but probate and India Death cert (Both on Ancestry) both say 31/8/1938 as died Nowsheara Military Hospital India could he have been injured on the 28th and died 31st ? His death not in Sept 1938 AFL I don't have access to October 1938 AFL

I note that Malcolm also has 29th August 1938 - I will go with that date

OK I checked with Malcolm - he mis transcribed his source which was

" Richardson was serving with No 11 Sqn at No 2 (Indian) Wing Station and I got the details from the ORB, which confirms 31 August as the day he died (which I’ve got in my 11 Sqn personnel listing) but for some reason put the date of his car accident in the Casualties section"

At least 3 separate sources: ORB, Probate and Indian Death Cert say 31st August 1938 - The other BTW source when it was originally written must have got confused with original accident date and date of actual death

BTW Richardson was born 22 Nov 1910 Kingston, Jamaica
