What were the places of death registration for:

F/Lt (Pilot) Horace J. LYON - 37975;
AC1 Arthur MILNER - 1204927 - 224 Sqn (Limavady, Londonderry);
LAC Cyril NICHOLAS - 643078, and
Sgt (WOp) Emlyn F. POWELL - 550458.

Proposed aircraft losses for this day:

Anson I - N4962 - 1 FPP - crashed on take-off Hamsey Green LG, Warlingham, Surrey.
Tomahawk II - AH890 - 1 SAC - crashlanded Oatslands Hill.

Milner did not come but if he died on or near his base he would be outside my reach

Eight years on, I have an update on AC1 Arthur MILNER - 1204927

The National Probate Calendar has the following:

MILNER Arthur of 10 Galgate, Barnard Castle, Durham, died 17 June 1941 at Limavady, Northern Ireland on war service. Administration Llandudno 8 September to Joseph Milner, grocer. Effects £373 17s. 1d.

As already mentioned, he is listed as 'Died on Active Service' and his name appears in Casualty Communique No. 75, Flight Magazine of August 7th 1941.

Cyril Nicolas 643078, a cook, on medical leave, pending his medical discharge, died at home at 1, Jubilee Bungalow, Newlyn, Penzance of pulmonary tuberculosis

Horace John Lyon 37975 , attached to RAF West Raynham, was found dead on the airfield, having been killed in an Airscrew accident at approximately 07:00 hours
