JOICEY doesn't show up in either the Eng & Wales or Scottish registers.

Checking CWGC cemetery registers again found the name of an airman sofar missing in my files. What was the place of death registration for:
AC1 Claude HALL - 1261255 - age 33.
His daughter Barbara Hall was killed in the same incident.

July 1st. In the early hours, huge parachuted land mines fall on Kensington Place, Beechwood, Archibald Street and Eveswell Street. The death toll is 35 with 46 injured. Later that same day, the new St Julians High School is opened.

There is a 51 year old John J Joicey registered in the Wirral District, Cheshire.

FreeBMD returns the following birth:
Births Dec 1891
Joicey John James Gateshead 10a 904

He is died on Active Service in Flight magazine.

AC1 Claude Hall - Killed on Active Service

Both he and Barbara are registered in Newport District.

Barbara Hall of 12 Eveswell Street. Daughter of Violet Hall and A.C.1 Claude Hall, R.A.F. Died at 12 Eveswell Street.

LAC Leslie A. SMITH - 701196 - age 22, who died on active service.

You probbaly don't need this Hnek but fromt eh Northern Ireland PRONI records:
Badger John Vincent Clarence of Eastleigh Leverogue Lisburn county Down squadron leader R.A.F. died 30 June 1941 at The Princess Mary R.A.F. Hospital Wendona Road Halton Buckinghamshire Administration Belfast 18 December to John Augustus Badger staff superintendent Queens University.

Sgt John J. JOICEY - 63077 - the Newcastle Evening Chronicle of July 3rd 1941 carried the following announcement:

JOICEY, Low Fell, 6 Lynholme Gardens, suddenly, on June 30th, at West Kirby Hospital, aged 49 years, Sergeant John James Joicey, R.A.F., beloved husband of Ethel and son of the late John and Isabel Joicey, late of Ravensworth Hotel.
