What were the places of death registration for:

LAC Percy E. FREEMAN - 545216;
AC2 Maurice A. MORRISON - 1256181;
Cpl Alfred S. POULTER - 343487;
AC2 Leslie SMART - 955404, and
LAC Andrew W. WILLIAMS - 534477.

Proposed aircraft losses for this day:

Blenheim IV - Z5813 - 6 OTU - crashed on take-off Brize Norton, Oxfordshire.
Magister I - L5950 - 16 EFTS - crashed in forced landing Draycott-in-the-Moors, Staffordshire.
Magister I - L5969 - 24 EFTS - crashed on landing Luton.
Oxford II - V3531 - 12 FTS - abandoned Woodhouse near Sheffield.
Tomahawk IIA - AH943 - 1 SAC - crashed on approach Oatlands Hill.

Freeman,21 registered at Gloucester Rural, outside the City,
Morrison,39 registered at Wharfedale, W Yorkshire
Smart,24,registered at Chichester, Hampshire
Williams ,25, registered at Oxford. On CWGC he is recorded as William A Williams
Poulter is on CWGC but didn't show on the register
Warner records Z5823 as bursting a tyre on landing and having the u/c collapse with no reported casualties.

Death status from Flilght archvies.

KOAS - LAC Percy E. FREEMAN - 545216;
AC2 Maurice A. MORRISON - 1256181; There is an M Morrison listed Aug 21st magazine, it is likely this man, only name that fits per CWGC.
DOAS Cpl Alfred S. POULTER - 343487;
DOAS AC2 Leslie SMART - 955404, and
DOAS LAC Andrew W. WILLIAMS - 534477.

AH943 was being flown by PltOff J.C.Buckley 44821, when the throttle jammed and the aircraft undershot on landing and crashed into trees at Oatlands

AC2 Maurice A. MORRISON - 1256181 - the National Probate Calendar records that Maurice Alfred Morrison died at Middleton Sanatorium, near Ilkley.

Cpl Alfred S. POULTER - 343487 - the Statutory Death Register on the Scotland's People website records that he died at 6.00 p.m. 2.5 miles north of Ballantrae, due to a fractured skull.

AC2 Leslie SMART - 955404 - the Chichester Observer of July 19th reported the following:

TWO KILLED IN CAR ACCIDENT
A car crash occurred on Friday evening at the crossroads wher Stockbridge Road and the by-pass meet in which two people were killed and five others seriously injured. The full story was told at the inquest on Tuesday, at the Hope Inn, Chichester, the two killed in the accident being Leslie Smart, A.C.2, R.A.F., and Reginald Joseph Gardner, a Portsmouth solicitor, who were both ridingh in the same car.
The Coroner, Mr. J. W. Loader Cooper, recorded a verdict of accidental death in both cases.

LAC Andrew W. WILLIAMS - 534477 - the CWGC has William Andrew Williams, service number 530477.
