What were the places of death registration for:

AC1 Joseph HOWARD - 1258605, and
Sgt (Obs) Leonard V. TIETJEN - 922265 (not in Chorley's vol.9).

Proposed aircraft losses for this day:

Blenheim IV - T1958 - 1 AAS - crashed on take-off Manby.
Lysander II - L4752 - 7 AACU - crashed in forced landing near Blackdown, Surrey.
Master I - N7474 - 5 FTS - crashed in forced landing Bridle Gate, Shawbury, Shropshire.
Tiger Moth II - T6236 - 9 EFTS - crashed on overshoot Southam RLG.

Hi Henk
Howard,20, is registered at Luton
Tietjen is on CWGC buried at Wandsworth, S London with NOK in Tolworth,Surrey but he doesn't come on the Register
Warner has no casualties on T1958. It burst a tyre on t/o and the u/c collapsed when it landed back

TIETJEN's death from natural causes, age 23, is registered in Dumfries.

For what its worth, both names are DOAS in Flight magazine archives.

Joseph Howard 1258605 | attached to Number 24 EFTS | As a ground Gunner, was found dangerously injured in a gun post at Luton Airfield with bullet wounds to the head. He was admitted to Luton and Dunstable hospital, where he died the same day. A court of enquiry and an inquest were unable to ascertain how and why the gun came to be discharged
