Cpl Samuel P. McALISTER - 632997, and
AC2 Frank TAGNEY - 1242333.

Proposed aircraft losses for this day:

Magister I - N3986 - 16 EFTS - flew into ground 1 mile N of Sutton-on-the-Hill, Derbyshire.
Spitfire I - K9958 - 53 OTU - crashed on landing Llandow.

I found Harrison in the No.8 FTS ORB, he was killed in Hurricane P3663.

September 9th 1941, “1195600 LAC (Cadet) Harrison, J.R. killed in Hurricane P3663. Machine carrying out approach to land flew too slowly on turn in circuit and spun into the sea 200 yards North of the aerodrome. Accident investigated by W/Cdr Simpson on 15th September 1941.”

I haven't found anything about the other two, record of the No.16 EFTS Magister somewhere in my files.

I saved all the LFight pages for oct Nov Dec into one file and can do partial searches better now.

Frank Tagney 1242333 | attached to RAF Hednesford | was admitted seriously ill to Gorleston isolation hospital on 19 August, becoming dangerously ill on 4 September, dying of clinical cerebrospinal meningitis
