Hi Henk
Ellis, 35, registered at Pembroke,S Wales
Pacitto,19,registered at Wenlock,Shropshire. In the past this has often meant Cosford Hospital but clearly would also be right for Dragonfly,X9390 at the waterworks,
Shand-Kydd, 18, registered at Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.This area would be right for Ivinghoe as well as Halton Hospital.
Neither Brown or Duthie came up but I see you have at least 3 incidents in Scotland,
Regards
Dick

Both LAC Lionel C. BROWN & LAC Alan DUTHIE- KILLED ON ACTIVE SERVICE (WHILE ENGAGED
ON NON-OPEBATIONAL FLYING DUTIES OK ON THE GROUND THROUGN ENEMY ACTION).—

Cpl Norman S. ELLIS - DOAS;

AC2 Patrick A. PACITTO - DOAS but listed in Flight as A. PACITTO only, I imagine a typo as CWGC has only one PACITTO for WW2.

LAC (Pilot u/t) John V.W. SHAND-KYDO - KOAS but spelled Shand-Kydd.

There is a 20 year old Alan Duthie and 25yr old Lionel Cedric brown in Scotland but I can't say where.

Hi Henk,

Dragonfly X9390 was actually a non fatal accident, although both crew were injured. Pacitto would almost certainly have died in RAF Cosford hospital (which ties in with 'DOAS'), although his name is a new one to my list, so can't be certain!

Also, i am not with my fiels at the moment, but i am sure the aircraft was on strength of 9 MU not 7FPP; it was on a test flight at the time.

Cheers, Tom

Henk

Brown's place of death given as Butterybank, Coupar Angus, Perthshire and Duthie's at Haugh Field, Hills of Bendachy, Coupar Angus. These places are less than two miles apart. There is no indication of which TM each was in.
