When searching CWGC for an unburied RAF casualty they are referred to as "Remembered with honour on panel ??? on the Runnymede Memorial".
Have these panels been photographed and placed on a site where they can be accessed and downloaded, or is there some restriction preventing this being done?
A visit earlier this year to the Menin Gate at Ypres, Belgium, for unburied WW1 casualties has revealed that this is a project being done /completed by our Canadian friends.
When doing research into my/our village casualties, I do try to acquire a photo of a particular grave/memorial for entry into the file, as do others no doubt. However, getting to Runnymede
and Portsmouth/Plymouth/Lowestoft etc for the Naval ones isn't all that easy and even worse for our overseas researchers/families. Is there a similar memorial for the Army anywhere?
Just a thought!
