Hi guys

An apprentice who attended RAF Halton in the 1930s mentioned 'H.E.T.' in a missive. Would I be correct in assuming this meant 'Halton Engineering Test'?

Over to those more knowledgeable

Hi Jonny

It appeared in a little ditty that he composed:

Three years of swatting the ‘Theory of Flight’,
The H.E.T. was then in sight.
The practical was fitting with the highest precision
‘Above the Average’ being the final decision.

Cheers
