Hi,

Last November I published a book about the crews and aircraft interned in Portugal during WWII.

I interviewed more than a dozen airmen that where in Portugal during that period and also many Portuguese persons that in someway had contact with event’s.
The book is only in Portuguese and has the tile “Aterrem em Portugal!” – “Land in Portugal”.

In the first annex there is a list of more than one hundred planes – American, British, German and other’s – that landed or crashed in Portugal between 1939 and 1945. those files are organized in a way that even one not Portuguese talker can understand. They have the date, location, serial number and crew names of planes that finished theyr voyage there.

The book has more than 150 pictures and documents in 320 pages. Unfortunately still don’t have information about one English version. Waiting for contact with editor’s.

You can find some of the stories I tell in this links (in English) and also a review also in english published in a portuguese newspaper.

Good luck with the English version, Carlos. It would be a valuable addition to the books on the Swiss internees etc.
