The Directorate of History and Heritage pages at the DND web site can be a little confusing to navigate, and I'm never sure when a page is really new, or when I've just found it for the first time. In any case, a brief summary history of all Canadian military operational squadrons is available as a pdf at

The RCAF overseas is an excellent volume, with details unavailable elsewhere. Names of crew and specifics to each operation are well detailed. I've got the Moose Squadron History. There are others, I'm sure.
