I am currently researching Flying Officer Alexander Somerville Roulston (421127) of No.587 Sqn and note that the Australian archive hold a file known as a 'casualty repatriation file'. Firstly are these available to be reviewed and if so what sort of information would be held within.

Apologises if this is a daft question.

Kind regards,

Tim

the records are available and some have already been digitised. If this is the case with your man then you can view it free of charge if not you can pay to have it done, it costs 16 Aus Dollars if I remember correctly. They are often a mine of information and may include details of the circumstances of the loss. There are a numer of files on the NAA site which are already digitised which you may have already seen including photos of his funeral and his personnel file which is under A9300 series barcode 5262467.

Daz,

Thank you for your reply; I have the other file and the photos but will now request a copy of this item.

Thanks for insight into possible content.

Kind regards,

Tim
