Hello

Martin I think has Purdie and Martin mixed up.

AC1 Clement MARTIN - 1401355 - the Bath Chronicle and Weekly Gazette of March 13th 1943 reported the following:

BATH AIRMAN'S FATAL ACCIDENT
Tragedy has stepped in to prevent a young Bathonian, Clement Martin, B.Sc., M.R.S.T., of 14, Arlington Raod, from becoming a bridegroom.
On Saturday afternoon, Martin, who was in the Royal Air Force, met with an accident whilst on ground staff duty at an aerodrome. He was taken to a Service hospital, where he succumbed at 1 o'clock on Sunday afternoon.
Aircraftman Martin was the son of the late Mr. Sydney Martin, and of Mrs. Martin, of Arlington Road. Preparations were being made for his marriage in September to Miss Stevens, of Barking.

Regards

Simon
