Hi All

Take a look at TNA website.

From the end of this month (27th) you will have to pay to get in the car park there, AND you'll have to book it (and pay) in advance! Flat fee of £5 per day, or pay up to a couple of hundred quid (variable, subject to car emissions - very green!) for an annual season ticket. If you just turn up on the day you won't get in.

Thanks TNA.

What with Monday closures, they really are trying to deter people. So much for my 'drop in' visits if I'm in the area or have a few hours to spare.

Not impressed.

Another institution got hold of by the business managers, just like car parking at hospitals, to the detriment of the Users. They won't be satisfied until it is all run from Mumbai. The thing is that once one 'service' succeeds at these ideas, it cascades to others who perpetuate these 'bright' ideas. These managers then move on to their next position with a C.V. saying how they saved X £'s in their last position and get a new position at an inflated salary. The fact that they have left turmoil and unemployment behind is completely overlooked. I despise them with an intensity.

They are not limited to the UK Stewart. I share your opinion of them.

Anyone know if there is free parking at the shopping centre just opposite? (on the right as you drive towards the NA) I guess one could stagger in from there.

The retail park, adjacent businesses, local residents associations, council etc were all ‘consulted’ by TNA management over the last year: they are armed and ready.

I gather (again, from this subject on another website) that there's something like 2 hours free parking in the next-door retail park. After that no doubt the clampers or ticketers will be after you.

Think I'll have to try to find any parking in nearby streets. Not easy. I think much of it is permit-controlled, maybe due to the proximity to the tube and of Kew Gardens.
