What were the places of death registration for:

A - Not found in Flight Global:
AC1 Edward J. BARBER - 1190274 - age 32.

B - Died on active service:
LAC Morris JACOBSON - 1444798 - age 27.

C - Died of wounds or injuries received on active service:
LAC Sidney SCHOFIELD - 1010887.

D - Miscellaneous:
Looking for GRO-listing of:
AC1 Herbert M. HUGHES - 1122383 - age 23 - not found in Flight Global - buried Enfidaville War Cem., Tunisia.

Forgot to add a proposed aircraft loss for this day in my first message:
Oxford II - ED169 - 20 (P)AFU - crashed on landing Croughton (already as a casualty on this a/c: Sgt [Pilot] R. WHITLAM - 1504894).

Barber,32, registered at Islington, N London
Jacobsen(first name Maurice on the register),27, registered at Willesden, Middlesex,part of W London
Schofield,29, registered at Hammersmith, S W London.
with all 3 registered in what is now Greater London you might find a tie-in to Air Raids
The one you already have, Whittam, is registered at Brackley, Northamptonshire the southern part of the county

No sign of Barber though.

Hello

AC1 Edward J. BARBER - 1190274 - the National Probate Calendar records that he died at Archway Hospital, London N.19.

LAC Sidney SCHOFIELD - 1010887 - the Liverpool Ecenign Express of April 24th 1943, as well as several other newspapers at the time, reported the following:

KILLED BY A.A. SHELL
An aircraftman and a girl who were sheltering in the archway of Peabody Trust Hammersmith Estate, Fulham Palace Road, were killed by an A.A. shell which fell near the archway. They were Leading Aircraftman Sidney Schofield (29), R.A.F., stationed in London, who lives in Blakelaw Street, Shaw, Oldham, and Winefred [sic] Hall (29), who lived at Peabody Buildings and the wife of a soldier serving in the Middle East.

Morris Jacobsen 1444798 , attached to 61 OTU , died in the Central Middlesex hospital of influenzal broncho pneumonia

Herbert Morgan Hughes 1122383 , attached to 100 MSU , was a passenger in a jeep which collided with another vehicle at Kilos, east of Monastir on the Monastic to Sousse road. Admitted to the French hospital, he died at 11:00 hours the same day

All attached to 6 PG Battalion, were based in Bahrain when one Levy shot the other Levy and his NCOs, before being shot in turn by another Levy to stop the attack. It is unclear from their records which one was the assailant
