Leslie George Young 1443453 , attached to AHQ India on attachment to Special Operations, was reported missing on an operation in Burma, when last seen he had been wounded in an arm.
Others in the party were captured and a returning POW questionnaire of 21 December 1946, stated that he had died at Mingyang Chung. His body had been seen in a stream having been wounded seriously in the arm and shoulder and when being marched, he collapsed ten miles East of the Chidwin River. All the party were exhausted at the time. Another questionnaire revealed that a second party had passed through the location a few days later and had found his body, mutilated, but identifiable. No burial details were known. He was classed as having died of wounds on 6 May 1943
