Henk,

Your S/Ldr Nigel R. W. SEELEY, is actually; S/Ldr Nigel Richard William SEELY. Burial location is, Isle of Wight, not Isle of White.

SEELY._ On May 10, 1943 SQUADRON LEADER NIGEL RICHARD WILLIAM SEELY, adored husband of Isabella and third surviving son of the late Sir Charles Seely. Bt., aged 40

See; The Times. Wednesday, May 12, 1943. p.1

Malcolm, does your, Seeley, Watford, Hertfordshire, still apply?

Seely is mentioned as killed in action in several places, one being:

http://thepeerage.com/p7805.htm

They give no details.

Hi Henk and Col

Seeley should have read Seely and it is indeed Nigel Richard William, registered in Watford

I've also only just noticed Curtis in te original request. He was registered in Chelsea, London so perhaps his body wasn't found hence why he's on Runnymede.

Hello

LAC (Flight: AC2) Robert G. BROOKS - 1803601 - the Sussex Agricultural Express of May 14th 1943 reported the following:

COOKSBRIDGE
Died on Service - Many in Cooksbridge will read with sorrow of the death in hospital of Mr. Robert Gordon Brooks, of Wellington Cottages. Mr. Brooks, who was 20 years of age, joined the Royal Air Force eight months ago. He was enthusiastic about flying and was training as a pilot when he came home on leave last December. Immediately following this leave he was taken ill with rheumatic fever, from which he died this week at Newton Abbot Hospital.

Regards

Simon
