Cpl Henry Beveridge BROWN - 653923 - age 36 died in the Royal Infirmary Edinburgh (George Square).

Although Sgt Frederick William HENNESSEY - 1551026 is buried in Edinburgh Rosebank Cemetery, I cannot find him (including looking at the different spellings of his surname) in the Scottish Statutory Records.

F/O (Pilot) David C. HOULE - 123122 - 231 Sqn (York). Not found in Scottish Statutory records.

Hello Malcolm,
Refer to your comment to AC2 SAGE (message # 3). Anson EG219 never on the strength of 9 (O)AFU; lost 20-6-1945 with SFC. Please advise.
Regards,
Henk.

Hi Henk

I'm not sure of my source but both aircraft and unit were only 'possible' so obviously incorrect.

Gents,

For what it's worth. Anson EG218 served only with 9 (O) AFU - Belly landing after engine failure, on Trewan Sands, Valley 18-12-44.

Thanks Col, but difficult to find out whether AC2 SAGE was involved in a flying accident with a training unit and the aircraft not being a write-off.

Henk.

Re: Bournemouth Incident

20 (P) AFU ORB confirms that A412938 Sgt Fenton (Pilot on leave) was killed in Bournemouth Air Attack (Multiple Injuries)

David Houle 123122 is listed in the 231 Sqn ORB as being killed when the guns of a Tomahawk accidentally discharged whilst being re-loaded and this appears to have been while part of 231 Squadron were on detachment to Ballyhalbert. Hence no mention in the England/Wales or Scotland death registers.
