Thanks Allan & Malcolm. WOp CREANEY must have been involved in a very bad accident; perhaps Douglas has more on him.
Regards.

Henk,
Certificate states time of death as 01.15am, 03/06/43, in Turnberry Hospital, so you may be looking at an accident that happened on 02/06/43.
There was one fatal accident recorded in June 43 with a Beaufort of 1TTU which was based at Turnberry at the time, just down the road from Kirkoswald, but no details given, might be a contender.

AlanW, Douglas,
Thanks for additional info. Have no 1 TTU Beaufort loss on file; however 5 (C)OTU lost Beaufort EL136 2-6-1943 at Ballymacilhoyle. Wasn't 5 (C)OTU at that time also based at Turnberry ?
Regards,
Henk.

Hi Henk,
Yes, you're correct about 5 (C)OTU being there at time.
