Hi all,

I would like to ask if anyone has a copy of The De Havilland Dragon Rapide Family by Hamlin, John F and can try to find there one particular plane serial there?

I am looking for Dominie of No. 2 Signal School, Yatesbury which was on a training flight with W/O cadets on 30.11.1940 and was forced to land? According to not dated memories (I do not know if the reminiscence fits just to this case) one engine was in fire and was extinguished by the ground crew after landing...

Any tips much appreciated.

G'day Pavel

There is one Dominie mentioned as having served with No.2 Signals School in Air Britain's R.A.F. Flying Training and Support Units - P9588.

Cheers...Chris

Pavel, there is no record of this in the book 'RAF Yatesbury, The History by Phil Tomaselli but it could have been missed. I can look up the serial number of the Dominies I knowused at Yatesbury if you are interested as I am compiling a more detailed list of aircraft used at Yatesbury used during WW2.
