What were the places of death registration for:

A - Not found in Flight Global:
AC2 Patrick CLARKE - 1697370, and
ATC Cadet Albert E. DAWSON - 9234.

B - Killed on active service:
Sgt (WOp) William P. MORRISON - 1354746;
AC2 Edward E. SUCKLING - 1589380, and
Sgt (Pilot) Lambert L.G. WILLIAMS - 1322385.

C - Proposed aircraft losses:
Anson I - K8791 - CNS - broke up in air Wallerscote Works, Northwich, Cheshire.
Botha I - W5023 - 10 (O)AFU - crashed on take-off Dumfries.
Master I - T8558 - 5 (P)AFU - dived into ground near Kelsall, Cheshire (already as a casualty on this a/c: Sgt [Pilot] M. CAP - 1067213 (from Czechoslovakia).
Spitfire IIA - P7978 - 58 OTU - collided with Spitfire X4914 at Sauchie, near Alloa, Clackmannanshire (for X4914 already as a casualty on file: Sgt R.H.E. HOLLIS - 1331977).
Tiger Moth II - R5253 - 4 EFTS - crashed on take-off Brough.
Typhoon I - R7621 - 59 OTU - crashed on landing Milfield.
Beaufighter XI - JM129 - 9 (C)OTU - crashed on overshoot Silloth.
Mustang I - AG382 - 41 OTU - crashed on landing Poulton.

I can only add that Sgt M. Cap was the sole occupant of Master T8558 according to Czech sources

Yes, all on K8791, I'll have to check the ORB original to make sure that it said K8792.

June 18th 1943, “Anson K8792 crashed. Crew killed including an ATC cadet.

The accident investigation board were requested to investigate accident. Preliminary cause of crash was engine failure.”

Broke up in air after engine failure and crashed at Wallanstone(?) Works, Northwich, Cheshire 17.6.43.

K8792 to K8812
Diverted from production line as RAAF A4-13 to A4-33.

Hi Henk,

From the No.9 (C)OTU ORB

17 June 1943
F/L Turnbull of No.9 Course force landed at Silloth, engine cut on circuit crashed on landing. F/O Hood crashed at Longtown. Unhurt.

His name appears in the Flight magazines as
PREVIOUSLY REPORTED MISSING, BELIEVED KILLED IN ACTION, NOW PRESUMED KILLED ACTION

Also missing that date Sgt A A Smith 141 Sqn

Cecil Douglas Arthurs 543131, attached to 119 MU, was admitted to Number 16 ME general hospital on 25th May and died there of pulmonary tuberculosis
