B - Not found in Flight Global:
LAC James A. MACDONALD - 948318 - 620 Sqn (Chedburgh, Suffolk).
C - Died of wounds or injuries received on active service:
Sgt (WOp) William S.H. MENZIES - 919401.
D - Proposed aircraft losses:
Magister I - L5947 - 44 Sqn - flew into ground Bracebridge Heath, Lincolnshire (or was the accident date 2-7-19"40"; see my thread "400702 - Unaccounted airman - 2-7-1940").
Beaufort II - AW382 - 5 (C)OTU - overshot landing at night Long Kesh.
Oxford I - MP281 - 6 (P)AFU - flew into ground Moreton-in-Marsh (already as a casualty on this a/c: Sgt [Pilot] K.B. ANSTALL - 1509442).
E - It is known that this day a 1,000 lb bomb exploded on a trolly at Lissett, Yorkshire, and have names of following casualties on file, all assigned to 158 Sqn:
