I have been guided to Geoffrey Dorman “British test pilots” (1950)

Somebody out there who knows this volume ? And, perhaps would be able to tell me the extent of this information? It would be published 7 years earlier than the altitude record.

There is a short chapter in the book on Michael Randrup occupying 3 1/2 pages (pp129-132). The account includes quotes from him to the author.

Thanks Errol, then it is worth ordering from the library (since it is not at any Danish libraries, it need to be ordered from a library abroad, e.g. with a fee). But this would be the most thorough description that I have come across.
