Crash nr Cairo 1936

Does anyone know about the loss of an aircraft with two SAAF officers killed on 04.08.42 while piloting a MISR Airways aircraft during WW2. Accident apparently happened
near Almaza Airport, Cairo. I have a history of the airline with details of the aircraft but there is no crash with this date. I am therefore not sure it is a Misr Airways aircraft does anyone know of any crashes (SAAF/RAF) on this date in Egypt?
Also does anyone know anything about No 1 Aircraft Research Centre at Abu Suier?

A check of (the possibly incomplete) 'World Directory of Airliner Crashes by Denham lists only the following for 4 Aug 42:

De Havilland Puss Moth VP-YAR, c/n 2195, Rhodesia & Nyasaland Airways, crashed, location unknown.

Your 'Air Research Centre' may in fact be Air Reinforcement Centre?
