Hello,
Whilst I have the details of this loss, I would be most appreciative if someone with the A-B LA100 to LZ999 Serial Vol., could tell me what it has to say about the loss of No.34 Sqn. Hurricane IIC LE643.

Might explain why this loss is not mentioned in Air War for Burma. The details are as follows:
20-2-1945
No.34 Sqn.
Hurricane IIC LE643 'K'
Was engaged in the day bombing of enemy targets at Nyaunglebin, Burma. The aircraft failed to pull out of a dive and was seen to hit the ground and burst into flames, position 21.50N 95.35E. The pilot was not seen to bale out.
AUS420063 P/O James Colin SAISELL RAAF +
Saisell was originally buried in Mandalay Military Cemetery, Burma. Gr. 2.B.21. Later reinterred Taukkyan War Cemetery, Rangoon, Burma.
