Hello

Cpl William A. MOQUET - 1467273 - the Surrey Mirror of July 9th 1943 reported the following (edited for brevity):

CORPORAL'S FATAL FALL
Death Three Days After Promotion
The death of an acting corporal in the R.A.F. Regiment within three days of his promotion, through falling over 17 feet from a bedroom window on to a hard gravel path, was the subject of an inquest on William Albert Moquet (39), whose home was at Oxford. The accident occurred at the house in which he was billeted, near an aerodrome in the Home Counties.
...The Coroner said he was satisfied that the affair was a pure accident, and recorded a verdict accordingly.

Regards

Simon
