With great sadness I report that F/Lt Ron Morris died peacefully at his home last Wednesday (20th Feb)
From mid 1944 Ron flew, as a pilot, a Hudson of 161 Special Duties Squadron, dropping agents and supplies into Europe.
In the last few years it was possible for him to meet, for the first time, some of the agents he dropped into occupied Holland. All congratulated him (and his crew) of achieving safe and accurate drops. The meeting of pilot and agents was a scene I shall never forget.
Those that had the good fortune to know Ron will agree that he was one of life's true gentleman. God Bless you Ron.
