Hello everyone,
On 21 March 1944 F/O „Moose“ Mossip DFC (J15927) visited Martlesham to see his old No. 1 Squadron. He borrowed the CO´s Typhoon for a trip. Unfortunately, there was a tyre burst on take off and during a belly landing was the aircraft completely wrecked.
I would like to know whether the aircraft was really wrecked or damaged only. Is it known the serial number?
