To all who visit this page with thoughts of contacting the marvellous contributor 'Henk' who shared his research so generously, please be aware that sadly Henk passed away in 2012. RAFCommands continues to add to the work he started, so please use the forum to post any questions (or answers!) concerning unaccounted airmen and airwomen.
    Thank you,
    Bruce Dennis
  2. Hello Henk,
A while ago you made a post on the forum "Unaccounted airman - 8-7-1942 " asking about details for Sgt Walter C.A. JERMAN - 1179934. I was just curious as to why you were asking as i an doing some research for my partner and Sergeant Allan Walter Crawford Jerman was her uncle. If you have any information on him it would be much appreciated. I will post on the forum thread as well in case it gains any other response.

    Best,

    Wesley

    Hello Henk
Some time ago (I think 2006) you were on this site talking about the fatal crash on 5th December 1942 Squadron 404 RCAF involving Samuel Edward Pike and Norman Taylor. I only discovered it a couple of days ago! I managed to find an email address for Chris Charland who had joined the conversation and he gave me your email address which was incorrect.
I do hope you don't mind me contacting you to ask why you were discussing this crash.
I knew virtually nothing about the death of my father, it being something of a taboo subject, which has always left questions in my mind.
Recently I found Squadron 404 web site which was a great help.
Chris thought you may well be correcting errors in the book "They shall not grow old".
I shall be so pleased to hear from you.

    Hi Henk

Just wondering if you have the New AB serials for AA100-AZ999. If so would it please be possible to get a scan of the pages concerning Kittyhawk and Tomahawk's.

I would be interested to see how far they got with the project (I did offer them what I had but was politely declined), and I'm wondering if they have anything extra I don't have (I still have a couple of aircraft unaccounted for in Sqdn service for a small number)

    Buz
