  1. Hi, I wonder if you could solve a mystery about the last mission of JD248, 78 Sqdn on the 23/24th August 1943, I have found the burials of 5 of the crew, but 2 crew members, Sgt. WILLIAMS, J. (R.G.)* & Sgt. LAMB, E. (M.U.)* are not at the same burial site -
    BERLIN 1939-1945 WAR CEMETERY

Page 27 of 42 pages on the Operational Records in the National Archives tell us that the aircraft (Halifax 11 J.D. 248) on a bombing mission of Berlin, the crew were:-
    W/O LOWERY J. (Capt.)
    Sgt. AVIS, R. (Nav.)
    Sgt. EGAN, J. (Bomb)
    Sgt. MARTIN, D. (W/O)
    Sgt. MOORE, C. (F/Eng.)
    Sgt. WILLIAMS, J. (R.G.)*
    Sgt. LAMB, E. (M.U.)*

Any help to find where they are buried, as I am trying to tell the story of D. MARTIN, who is o our local War Memorial at Hawarden, Flintshire. May thanks in advance for any help, Kind regards, Mavis Williams (Mrs.)
