HD345 was from 5 OTU. The co-ordinates, taken from a SAR map years ago, before GPS, were 48.56N/124.11W.
As with the other Vancouver Island sites you have asked about it is a war grave and visitors should act accordingly.

first date: 8 April 1944 - Taken on strength by Western Air Command as a new aircraft
Ex USAAF B-25D-35-NA serial number 43-3858, ex RAF Mitchell Mk. II HD345. Officially identified as a B-25D in RCAF records. Taken on strength at No. 5 Operational Training Unit at Boundary Bay, BC. Reported missing on training flight on 29 May 1944. Later found to have flown into side of mountain and exploded.
last date: 26 July 1944 - Struck off, not found by this date

Visible from ground - wreckage over an area approximately 1/8 mile long by 100 yards wide at a slope of 45 degrees.
Remarks: A/C struck side of mountain, exploded and burned in vicinity of Mount Whymper - remains of crew buried near scene of crash.
Crash Position - originally 49.00N 124.15W scratched out and replaced by 4858.5N 12411.5W
