    Hello,

1341671 AC1 Peter PURDEN, is recorded by Bill Chorley in BCL9/RoH p.230, as a member of No.10 OTU. Can't find a corresponding aircraft loss in BCL7/OTU. His death is recorded in The Times. December 11, 1943. p.7, as - Died On Active Service.

Morsman was killed whilst flying in PBY-5, BuNo. 08342 of NAS Pensacola, which overshot a night landing and crashed at Fort Barrancas Beach, Pensacola Bay.

Weale was listed with 21 SFTS

    Purden was registered in Abingdon

    Paul,

Purden not on Oxford I LW751. LW751 was piloted (solo), by AUS415750 F/Sgt (Pilot) Wilfred Ernest ALLISON RAAF, who was killed when the aircraft crashed at Ablington, Oxon., after a night take-off from Bibury, on 27-9-1943.

The F1180 for Whitley BD237 of No.10 OTU records that an un-named airman was killed by the prop when removing chocks.

I would associate the death of Purden with this incident.

    Regards
