    Hello,

Re: UK (2). Price 1432802 and Wildman 1331147:

    http://www.rafcommands.com/forum/showthread.php?10087-Oxford-LX328-6-OTU-crashed-11.10.43

And for the Zimbabwe/Rhodesia losses, we have the enigmatic :

Oxford II BM785 - To RATG 20.5.42; arr.31.7.42; 33 FIS (Norton); Flying Accident CatE 11.10.43 (details unknown)!

    See: A-B's Oxford, Consul & Envoy File/Hamlin. p.134

Although, you need to read the following, which indicates 23 SFTS involvement:

    J Dudgeon, R C Green and E M Smith are all DOAS
V A Smith does not turn up in my searches of the Flight archives or Aeroplane on google books.
Surprising number of KOAS that day.

Best and Whitlock are registered in 1944 Q1 in Pembroke district.

Not accessed full article, but usual wartime reporting refers only to 'an RAF Camp in the South West'. She was taken to Royal Cornwall Infirmary and died on the operating table.
