Took off 1953, West Freugh, on a non-operational night navigation exercise. Hit a cliff at 2100, and crashed 1.5 miles from Port Soderick, Isle of man. All on board were killed.

I cannot see any of the following in the printed casualty lists: E J Farr, H A C Hamilton (note he was aged 60!) or E R J Young

John P Redpath C/2245 RCAF was mentioned in a 1959 Montreal Gazette article when his 18 year old son went missing on a canoing outing. It records that S/L Redpath was reported missing and believed drowned at sea while on route to Canada from active duty in India.

Wills calendar says E R J Young died at the Grand Hotel, Bristol and was from 215 Croyden Road Beckenham, Kent

FARR, Edward James - Sgt - 560761 - a family announcement in the Portsmouth Evening News on January 3rd 1944 records that he died at St. James Hospital, Milton.

GOLD, Thomas - LAC - 980325 - a family announcement in the Bellshill Speaker newspaper records that he died in hospital in England, the result of an accident.
