KING, Ernest Leslie - Sgt (WoP/A/G) - Halifax II 1674 HCU BB278
Was my Uncle. He was 21 when his plane went down on a practice run at 16:00hrs on 14.2.44. He would have been 92 come August. He has 3 surviving Sisters. I am in possession of his wallet, stripes, collar pin and the medals he would have received had he survived. I am looking for photo's of him and his plane. Would anyone know if the recovered plane is still in existence on display somewhere or was it scrapped?

Arthur Frederick Shann 639287 , a Clerk G/D attached to 130 MU , was found in his billet at 16:00 Hours by W/O Deniklo after he had left his work in the orderly room and not returned after an hour. He was dead from a self inflicted gun shot wound to the head and a discharged. 45 revolver was found underneath him .

He DID NOT die in Ventura FP545 as stated in this database
