There is a detailed description of the crash of HD319, 5 OTU at http://www.101nisquadron.org/?page_id=659 . The wreckage was not located until 1960, and no human remains were identified. The wreckage suggests the aircraft impacted at high speed, and at least the pilot's seat was occupied at impact.

PARKER, Edward George - AC2c - 1292897 - the Uxbridge and West Drayton Gazette of July 28th 1944 reported that he was stationed at an R.A.F. station in Yorkshire, and was removed to Beverley Emergency Hospital, where he died the same day.
