Default 615 Squadron Engagement over Magwe.

Can anyone tell me which Japanese units engaged 615 Squadron over Magwe on December 24th 1942? P/O Grestock and F/Sgt Oldham damaged enemy fighters, with the loss of Sgt Kostromin. Any ideas please?

    Regards

    Andy

Chris Shores in "Air War over Burma", Page 44 says the unit was the 50th Sentai. He also mentions that Oldham's damaged Ki43 may actually have been a 'destroyed' Ki43

Thank you Jagan, it's much appreciated. This is a sphere of research that I have never touched before, so I'm pretty much going with the flow. Good to ID the Japanese unit though.

Just to clarify that Oldham's claim was for strafing on the ground rather than in the air.

    Cheers,
