DEUCHARS 1341152 - I can't find anything on Scotland's People. However, he's on ancestry.co.uk's National Probate Calendar, and his place of death is listed as 'near Tutbury, Burton-on-Trent', so it seems he's another casualty from RAF Fauld.

Those put forward for being killed in the explosion at Fauld are all listed on the memorial beside the crater.

Bailey and Fairbanks are listed on the upper part of the plaque with 16 others whose bodies were not or could not be recovered. Deuchars, Dunrose and Game are all listed at the bottom beside 6 Italian service personnel.

    Hello

DUROSE, Alan Sydney - Cpl - 540880 - the Derby Daily Telegraph of December 2nd 1944 reported that the body of Durose had been recovered, and also names two of the Italians whose bodies were recovered along with that of Durose: Cpl. Rocco Novello (27) and Pvt. Salvatore Trevato (29).. It also names two of the civilians were also killed: John William West (23) and George Priestley (63). West's brother Stephen is among those listed as missing. The civilians were in a works building near the dump, which was engulfed by the vast amount of earth thrown up by the explosion.

KERR, A. A. - Cpl - 995284 - the National Probate Calendar confirms his name as Arthur Alban Kerr, and that he died at the Royal National Hospital, Ventnor, I.o.W. I'd let the CWGC know, but no doubt they'd need a birth and death certificate...

    Regards

    Simon
