    BATHING TRAGEDY
    Mrs. Slater, of 4, Lanark street, Burnley, has been officially notified that her son, Cpl. Bernard Slater (25), has died through injuries received accidentally while bathing

    Thomas Bradshaw Knight 1502245 , attached to Number 3 PDC , was in transit on HMT Arundel Castle , when he collapsed and died immediately of a coronary thrombosis and was buried at sea

    Bernard Slater 1104479 , attached to 61007 AMES, bathing with several other Airmen, dived into shallow water at Fakir Point and broke his neck, dying almost instantly

    Frank Joseph Allard 1882261 , attached to 302 MU , was admitted seriously ill to the British military hospital, Allahbad, on 10 March , where he died of cerebro spinal meningitis
